As this years president of the UTPA, I look forward to making a positive impact on Luso-Canadian youth through our various events, scholarships, collaborations, and mentorship/ networking opportunities. Our goal is to educate and share with the UofT community our diverse Luso-culture, and connect students to our association, forming meaningful relationships where members from all different backgrounds can come together. I'm excited for an amazing year!

ADAM DA COSTA GOMES
GRADUATE REPRESENTATIVE

Program: Doctor of Pharmacy
As this year's Grad rep, I look forward to continuing to enrich the lives of the Lusophone community involved in/striving towards post-secondary education and engaging with graduate students at U of T to help accomplish this. Higher education is something near and dear to all executive's hearts in the UTPA and I am so thankful to be working with such an accomplished and well-rounded team this year!
EVAN PACHECO
VICE PRESIDENT & GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Program(s): Biochemistry
As the Vice President and Graphic Designer, I am looking forward to the several events that we will have throughout the 2022-2023 calendar. I am motivated to create spectacular posters and connect with the Portuguese community as a Vice President. I am excited to be apart of and plan these future events that will convey and attract others to be involved and get in touch with the Luso community!

As this years Treasurer for the UTPA, I look forward to promoting education to the Portuguese youth as well as, promoting Portuguese culture on-campus. I look forward to trying to find innovative ways to promote post-secondary education to Luso-Canadian youth.

I'm excited to continue to be involved with the UTPA as senior representative and within the vibrant Portuguese community at the school and around Toronto. I'm interested in helping to​ share elements of my culture and in helping to make education more accessible within the Portuguese community.

Program(s): Political Science with minors in Human Geography & Portuguese
As outreach coordinator, I look forward to supporting young people in the Lusophone community interested in pursuing higher education. As well, I am very excited for the opportunity to celebrate and share my culture in the Lusophone community and at the U of T.

As this years Vice-President and Public Relations I look forward to helping the organization expand as well as developing meaningful relationships with the Portuguese community in Toronto. Plus, as a Portuguese-born, being part of the UTPA allows me to remain connected to my roots.

I'm excited to be a part of the UTPA to be able to connect and meet other Portuguese students! I was raised in a traditional Portuguese environment and being a part of this community will help me to still keep in touch with my roots and carry them on. As well, it's great to see how the UTPA brings awareness and helps other Portuguese people strive for higher education as I am a 1st generation for post-secondary education!
